I have been sooooo rubbish recently at posting on here! Life has been busy and my blogging efforts have slipped. It’s a hobby though and I hope you’ll forgive me for having a bit of down time with it. I’ve still been posting a lot on Facebook and Instagram so you can always find what we’re eating on there if I don’t share on here.
On Saturday we tried something new and went to check out a local sustainable, plastic free shop. It was such an eye opening experience and I can see it becoming somewhere we visit regularly. The shop we went to was The Good Life in Stockport. You take your own jars or tubs, weigh them, fill them up with whatever you want to buy then weigh them again and pay for however much you’ve got. They have a gorgeous little play area for the kids and toy trolleys so they can have fun while you shop. I honestly love it and it’s really spurred me on to make more changes to reduce the waste that we produce as a family.
I mainly bought snacks from The Good Life as we were well stocked already on things like pasta, flour, rice and grains etc. I’m tempted to try one of their veg boxes next week though and meal plan around the ingredients we get. It’s a different way to we usually do it but I think it might encourage me to be more creative. What do you think?
We also received a new cookbook through the post from one of our favourite brands, Organix, so I’m going to try a few recipes from that this week. It was gifted but I haven’t been asked to share just so you know for full disclosure.
So… enough rambling! What are we eating this week?
