30 weeks pregnant

I’m 30 weeks pregnant!  I don’t know why this feels like such a big milestone but it does!  After this week I am into single figures in my countdown to meet baby and I really feel like I’m on the home straight now!

I’ve been feeling much better over the last few weeks and aside from a few bad days I’m feeling really positive and finally managing to enjoy being pregnant.  This weekend was really productive and, alongside family fun at the fruit farm, we managed to make progress on baby’s bedroom, getting the walls finished with the help of my best friend (Thanks Emma), Alistair also took the floor up ready for us to get a carpet laid within the next few weeks and my mum is coming round later to help me get started on the woodwork.  I really think we could have the painting side of things finished this week which is so exciting as the next stage is the fun bit!

Thank you Emma! (She’ll kill me for sharing this!)

This morning was the first really bad vomiting I’ve had in a few weeks.  I’m now covered with burst blood vessels all over my face but thankfully I’m getting better at covering them with concealer!  I realised afterwards that I’d forgotten to take my anti sickness medication last night so it was my own fault and I guess just goes to show how much better I’m feeling that I was able to forget to take my tablet!  Here’s to things continuing to improve!

How’s Pregnancy This Week?

How far along? 30 weeks

How big is baby? One of my apps says baby is the same size as a cucumber.  The other says baby is approx 17 inches long.

Weight gain/loss: I’ve gained 3lbs in the last week!! Argh! I’m now 6lbs up from my booking appointment and approximately back to my pre pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes?  I’m wearing maternity clothes a lot but also relying on cheap, stretchy clothes from Primark as a money saving way to see me through the next few months.

Stretch marks? None yet.  I feel like I’m going to get lots though this time around, I’m putting lots of bio oil and moisturiser on my bump so fingers crossed.

Sleep: I’ve been sleeping quite well this week but getting up twice in the night for the toilet is starting to get really annoying!

Best moment this week: Finishing painting the walls in baby’s room.

Movement: Movement has slowed down a bit but she’s still really active.

Food cravings: Dare I say it, I’ve been eating fairly normally this week! I’ve been craving pick and mix though which Alistair is starting to get frustrated at as I must be spending a fortune on it!

Sickness: I’ve had a good week again this week.

Belly Button in or out? It’s pretty flat at the moment.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!  I’m feeling really positive at the moment.

Weekly Wisdom: DON’T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDICATION!!

Milestones: The last week of the countdown where there’s a double figure amount of weeks to go until I meet baby!
