Baby’s bedroom plans
I’m so excited that we have finally, at 29 weeks pregnant, made a proper start on baby’s bedroom. My mum helped me a few weeks ago and painted the ceiling while I sanded the woodwork but I haven’t really done much since then.
I’m planning a grey and pink bedroom full of hot air balloons and clouds, somewhere relaxing, calm and dreamy. It’s only a very small room so I’m going to have to get creative to make it functional while being a beautiful little room.
This is our progress so far, it’s not great I know but hey, there’s paint on the walls and it’s a start!
Wish list
Here’s some of the bits that I’m hoping to get (or similar) for our baby girl’s bedroom:
This is one of the things that made me want to go down the grey and pink route and has helped me decide on pink walls with grey accessories rather than the other way around! I found it on Instagram by felt and fuzzies, they make soooo many nice things!
This was another thing that made me want the theme that I’ve chosen. I love the dreamy hot air balloons and am hoping to try and make something like this myself as a handmade touch for my little girl’s room. If you want this one though it’s from a beautiful Etsy shop, Sunshine and Vodka
Cloud curtains, just look how cute! they’re from Dunelm Mill and will fit my theme perfectly!
I love this bedding with the cloud print on it. I’m on the lookout for cot bedding with a similar design.
I’ve got a bit of a thing for zigzags and chevrons at the moment!
This is something I’ve always said to Harry every night, I love the little elephants on it too.
How’s Pregnancy This Week?
How far along? 29 weeks
How big is baby? Baby is the same size as an acorn squash apparently. (or a small halloween pumpkin!)
Weight gain/loss: I’m 3lbs up on my booking weight! I’m finally gaining weight!!
Maternity clothes? I’m struggling to fit in my non maternity clothes now but my maternity clothes from my last pregnancy are too big for me… I need to go shopping but I hate spending money on something that will only last me a few short months.
Stretch marks? None yet. I feel like I’m going to get lots though this time around, I’m putting lots of bio oil and moisturiser on my bump so fingers crossed.
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping quite well this week but getting up twice in the night for the toilet is starting to get really annoying!
Best moment this week: Finally getting the first bit of paint on the walls in baby’s bedroom! We’ve got a long way to go yet but I’m so excited to get started.
Movement: Shes just sooooo wriggly!! She never stops!
Food cravings: Dare I say it, I’ve been eating fairly normally this week! I’ve craved sweet things quite a bit like sweets and chocolate but I’ve also been craving fruit and salad which has been a welcome change to crisps!
Sickness: I’ve had a good week again this week. I got a little over excited though and tried to reduce my medication which wasn’t a good idea. I won’t be trying that again any time soon.
Belly Button in or out? It’s pretty flat at the moment.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Weekly Wisdom: Things wont make themselves happen. You have to get off your backside and make them happen
Milestones: No big milestones this week to celebrate other than making a proper start on baby’s bedroom.
