I’m keeping it short and sweet this week. I’m now 23 weeks pregnant, there’s not much to report but I’ve done a little update and a bump picture anyway as I promised myself I wouldn’t miss a week.
Weekly quiz
How far along? 23 weeks
How big is baby? Baby is the same size as a grapefruit
Weight gain/loss: I’ve stayed the same this week. I’m still 3lbs below my booking weight and unsure how far below my pre pregnancy weight I am.
Maternity clothes? I’m wearing some but I’m mostly still in normal clothes.
Stretch marks? Nope, not yet but my belly is soooo itchy!
Sleep: My sleep has been really bad this week, nausea, round ligament pains, weird dreams are all kicking in to ruin my sleep!
Best moment this week: Alistair has finally started clearing the spare room and getting it ready to decorate and make baby’s room. There’s a long way to go but we’re getting there!
Movement: Alistair has finally felt our little girl move! I’m definitely feeling more movement than I did at this stage with Harry.
Food cravings: Salt and vinegar Pringles, diet coke and Galaxy caramel bars.
Sickness: My face is covered with burst blood vessels again from being sick. If anyone has any good concealer/foundation recommendations please let me know!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, it feels like a definite bump!
Belly Button in or out? In, it looks oddly wider though and a lot flatter.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’ve been feeling a bit lower this week, I think I always feel worse when I get the burst blood vessels on my face as painting on a smile is so much harder when signs of my HG are painted all over my face. I’m also crying a lot this week over silly little things, adverts, songs on the radio, looking at Harry’s tiny baby clothes… literally everything sets me off!
Weekly Wisdom: I’m not feeling too wise this week. In the words of Dori from Finding Nemo… ‘Just keep swimming.’ That seems to be a phrase that springs to mind a lot this pregnancy.
Milestones: No exciting milestones this week but I’m counting down the days until this time next week when I will reach my favourite pregnancy milestone!
