Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of Just Roll puff pastry (you can make your own but seriously, who has the time!?!)
- 5 tbsp passata
- A handful of grated cheddar cheese
- Toppings of your choice: sweetcorn, chopped peppers, tomato, spinach, etc.
Method:
- Take the pastry out of the fridge 15 minutes before unrolling to avoid cracking. (I usually do this as I put the oven on to preheat.)
- Lay the pastry out flat and spread the passata on top evenly.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and the chosen toppings.
- Carefully roll the pastry up like a swiss roll.
- Slice into 1 inch thick pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels on a baking tray, on a piece of greaseproof paper and cook in the middle of the oven for 25 minutes on 180.

Pesto, spinach & feta is a firm favourite here, also tuna cheese & sweetcorn is another good one!
Love pinwheels.
Think pizza and add that topping!
One of the biggest hits here was mushroom, red onion and peppers.
Harry loves mushrooms but we rarely have them as Alistair doesn’t like them.. Will have to try putting them in pinwheels!
Tomato purée, spinach, sweetcorn & cheese are a winner along with pesto, cooked chicken, spinach & cheese. Can you tell we always have leftover spinach?!
Spinich is amazing!! We have started buying frozen spinich to avoid waste as we were struggling to use a full bag x
Strawberries & blueberries were the first ones I made. Cheese & spinach pinwheels were even a hit with Grandad!
Ooh we’ve only tried chocolate and banana sweet pinwheels! Will have to try mixed berries!!
Cream cheese, cinnamon and sultanas with a sprinkle of sugar….I enjoyed them even if my little boy was not interested!

Never would have thought of this!! Definitely going to try it – thanks!!
I cannot cook but decided to give these a try with cheese, red pepper, sweetcorn and spinach, amazing! So easy and quick and tasted so good. I’m thinking I’ll try fruit ones next
If you want to freeze them should it be before or after they are cooked?
I freeze after I cook them x
Once they have defrosted do u just pop them in the oven to heat then back up for baby?
Yep! As simple as that! You can do them in the microwave but I find they are crispier if you use the oven.
How do i cut them so they stay round? Mine are currently in the oven looking a bit squished!
You could cut them into strips then roll them after? I find if I roll it as one big sausage shape then slice it they look more squashed… but still taste fab 🙂
Could I freeze them before baking or after
Yes you can freeze them before if you prefer, I usually freeze after though.
If you freeze after how do you re-heat? I’m trying these this weekend!!
I defrost in the microwave then reheat in the oven so they stay crispy!
How would I freeze the pinwheels and could I freeze after cooked
I freeze after cooking but I have seen some people freeze before with just as much success. I just prefer them to be faster to cook from frozen.
Is 180 the temp for a fan assisted oven?
yes x
Mine love sausage meat with bacon filling !! X
