The (not big or fat) quiz of the year

the-not-big-or-fat-quiz-of-the-yearI’ve been tagged by Jacqueline at lifeloveandchaos to answer some questions about this year and my hopes for 2017.

What was your highlight of 2016?

Watching my son continue to grow into an energetic, playful toddler.

Starting Friendly First Foods.

Getting a new job that I love and only working two days a week, meaning I get more time with my precious boy.

Name one thing you are likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?

Gosh, so much! There are so many sad things I will remember from this year, Brexit, Trump, lots of celebrity deaths, my Nanna having a stroke.. I could go on. All of that aside though I will remember so many happy things too.

My main memory I think will be of starting a Facebook group that grew and made me take a step into the crazy world of blogging, one I’d never considered I’d ever be a part of before. I’ve met (in the online sense) so many amazing, lovely people through it and it’s a journey I am so glad I’ve started.

Sum up 2016 in one word.

Eventful

Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry through 2017.

There will always be bad things that happen, challenges to overcome and struggles to face but as long as you and your family are healthy, happy and together, there’s nothing you can’t overcome and come out stronger on the other side.

Do you have any new year resolutions?

Make more time for me. Selfish I know! I’m quickly learning though that I am more useful to everyone around me if I take the time to look after myself too!

Make more quality time for my family. Leaving my phone in another room more so I don’t miss any precious moments with my son and husband because I’m looking at a screen.

How are you seeing in the new year?

We are having a quiet one this year, I will see in the new year with a cheeky drink in hand (probably gin), husband by my side and our son sleeping peacefully (fingers crossed) upstairs.

What would you most like to do in 2017?

Continue to learn more about the crazy world of blogging! I’d like to continue to grow my blog and hopefully help other parents with ideas for feeding their little ones along the way!

What are your main goals for 2017?

Finish our kitchen renovations!

Be the best mother and wife that I can be.

Be happy and make others around me happy too.
