Ingredients:
The heads of 1 broccoli
1tbsp cream cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup of flour
A twist of black pepper
Oil for cooking (we use fry light)
Method:
- Put the broccoli into a food processor and blitz until it is a cous cous consistency.
- In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients together.
- shape the mixture into burger shapes and fry in the oil or fry light until golden on each side.
- Serve with the accompaniment of your choice, potato wedges, mashed potato, savoury rice, cous cous or sweet potato chips are all favourites here.
It sounds good! Do you make this with fresh broccoli? Or cooked/steamed?
I didn’t cook the broccoli first but I guess you could!

What flour do you use?
This sounds lovely and simple to make, a really good idea:)
Could you use frozen broccoli? Would you could it first?
It may make the mixture a little wetter if you use frozen broccoli. I’d cook it first if it was frozen x
